Day 1: Our journey begins at your Stone Town hotel, where we'll greet you with bikes in hand. We'll pedal north along the picturesque west coast, venturing through the outskirts of town and into the untamed Masingini Forest, home to the elusive red colobus monkeys and a vibrant array of flora and fauna. It's one of Zanzibar's last wild frontiers. Our route takes us through charming villages, with lunch along the way, until we arrive at the serene village of Kendwa on the Northeast coast. Check-in at our hotel precedes a delectable dinner, followed by a moonlit stroll along Kendwa's enchanting beaches and a taste of the local nightlife.
Day 2: Our adventure continues as we trace the coastline to the vibrant fishing village of Nungwi at the island's northern tip. Here, you'll witness the art of dhow boat construction and fishermen mending their nets after a night of fishing. You'll see women carrying firewood from the mangroves and observe the mangroves themselves. We'll continue down the east coast until we reach the idyllic village of Matemwe. After lunch, we'll embark on a boat excursion to Mnemba Island, where you'll snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters. We'll return to Matemwe for dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Today's ride takes us from Matemwe along the scenic east coast to the picturesque beach village of Pongwe. Perched slightly above the beach, it offers breathtaking ocean views. We'll arrive in Pongwe for lunch, allowing you to relax and soak in the vistas while observing coastal village life. Later, we'll set sail on a dhow across Chuwaka Bay to Michamvi, where you can enjoy the soft sandy beaches and a beach bonfire while watching the sunset over the bay. We'll return to the hotel in Pongwe by dhow at dusk.
Day 4: Departing Pongwe after breakfast, we'll cycle westward towards Stone Town, passing through agricultural villages and arriving at a Spice Farm. Here, you'll embark on a Spice Farm Tour, discovering how spices are cultivated and their traditional culinary and medicinal uses. Our guides will entertain you and offer unique biodegradable souvenirs. Lunch at the Spice Farm precedes our journey back to Stone Town, where we'll arrive in the late afternoon and return you to your hotel.
